Bought comics and walked miles

  Hello all.

 I had a lovely start to the day walked the gal met Snoops and caught the 70 into town, bought comics and enjoyed a natter with R who's eye is still worryingly not working. I then tried to catch the return bus and things went to poo. I ended up walking back home from around three miles out. There may have been some harsh words softly spoken.

 I'm off to rest my knee.

Christmas market in the rain

  Hello all.

 So with this post I have beaten last years posts total and I'm thrilled. I do lots of pages and doodles that never get posted anywhere but I may start to post even more in the New Year.

 Yesterday I got to wander down the main street in the wintery rain with my beautiful K and look at all the Christmas goods on offer and to also say hi to K's mate Claire (who was spinning yarn into wool). A lovely day that ended with me eating crisps and chocolate.

 But thankfully a splendid day all round, managed to help my sis with her sick note, did the below for my chum and walked the furry monster. My wonderful K is a bit grumpy because she's not feeling great neither are L or A. Thankfully Honey and I are going great guns.

  Hello all.

 So thankfully the dreaded migraine aftereffects have finally left me so I can crack on with some much needed doodling. 

 Had a lovely stroll around the town with the beautiful K in the rain and read a James Herriot book in the library while waiting for the ever so glam K.

 Honey has enjoyed two wanders in the muddy fields today but didn't meet any of her chums.

 My darling K attempted to teach me a new computer program this morning, alas it was not to be as I'm of a certain vintage and have learnt all I need to know. She remains enamoured with me despite this deluded outlook.

Sisters knee

 Evening all.

 So I went out for coffee with my utterly wonderful K and we chatted about this and that (mostly this and some of that), but mainly just enjoyed being out of the house and in the hurley burley of the town.

 My la sis is now signed off because of her knee, which is now becoming a bit of an issue as she had to miss her DIXON's Sunday dinner with the parents because she can't bend her knee enough to get in the car!! I love my sis but how I laughed.

A rainy start to the day

  Morning all!

 So it's been a great start to the day, my wonderful K is out walking the ginger hooch and an old client has been in touch with a new project for me to work on (just need to work out the details).

 Everton have been given a points deduction which made me laugh and somethings happened between a couple of my dog walking chums! I know its a whirlwind of exciitent here!

An experiment in backgrounds

 Hello all.

 Had a couple of super wanders with both gals today. My lovely K was feeling a little under the weather so Honey and I went looking for adventure. And after many weeks we bumped into the naughty boys, it was wonderful to see Honey with her mates.

 So the below if a snippet of a Harriet page, I'm trying out different things for my b/g's for this comic. Speaking of comics an old client got in touch this morning about a new story he thinks would suit me.

 Sitting listening to Rogue Deal and I have to say I'm liking what I hear. So we have bats in the attic (my beautiful K is thrilled).

 Here's another Harriet page, at this rate the whole thing will be finished by the summer! It's only taken 15 years, but I was waiting for some half tone brushes that I liked.

I used a blur tool today!

  Hello all.

 So in my quest to get the very most out of Sketchbook pro I came across a pen I'd never used before and it was a BLUR tool, I admit I thought Sketchbook didn't have such a thing. I laughed and laughed. Can't wait to properly get into it.

Mushroom madness!

 Hello all.

 So Murf's my sisters beautiful boy who's been limping for a few days and has cost my sister untold worry and money is limping because he's basically stubbed his toe??? Relief all round.

 I got to see my utterly wonderful K lose her beautiful mind over a bunch of mushrooms that we found. I suspect she'll go and nab them later on under cover of darkness.

Crikey! I'm annoyed.

  Evening all.

 Just had a rubbish chat with a long time client who has ****ed me right off! I was trying to get some art to him for the latest kickstarter (work I wouldn't be paid for, for months) and there was laptop nonsense which meant I lost my latest art for his project and to top it off he told a mate he could do the cover!!

 LFC won. Other than that it's been a quiet day, I've had fleeting glimpses of the lovely K who's been terribly busy.

 I laughed at the boxing result, not all MMA lads and lasses are crap boxers.

Yay! It's final day!

  Hello all.

 Yep as you can tell I'm excited for this evenings world cup final. It's been a great 6 weeks and I even went to visit my family so I could take in several games (on the TV).

 So T, the writer on AA wants to do a kickstarter and wants it to start on Halloween so I'm doing a couple of panels/pages to try and get some eye's on this the fourth instalment of the Lovecrafitian inspired nightmare.

Chucking it down!

  Morning all.

 So it's incredibly wet here with one or two of the small bridges flooded out according to my delectable lady K who got drenched on her adventure with Honey. I've spent the morning in bed trying to sort out two horrid panels and guess what? I could have redrawn them in half the time and been able to move on with another page.

 My delight at finishing a major project has came crashing down as yet more pages need reworking!!! 

 Sigh.

The sad passing of Moneypenny

  Hello all.

 So this morning I woke up to the news that my other ginger hooligan had died. She was 17 and a half and mayhem from the moment S and I got her. Funnily enough I was looking at some old photos of her Zorro and Han Solo over the weekend looking for an old project. It was a happy distraction. All are sadly missed.

 Anyway enough sadness, here's a patch I did this morning for R and thankfully we're almost at the end of this project (although the nightmare is just begining for my delightful K) and I can start to properly think about things to bring the year to a close.

Old client new doodles

 Afternoon all!

 So a comic that's been on a break for a few months has came roaring back to life this week and I've just finished a new page for it, nothing spectaacular but pretty good to be back drawing these characters again.

 My mates husband died nine years ago today and I never ever remember... such a dick.

 It's been a lovely day listening to my adorable K chatting and laughing with her daughter.

 Great wander with the gal again this morning we met the young lass in charge of Bert and Jet (I say in charge, but its more a controlled drag).

Heading out to walk the lad

  Morning all!

  Everyone's and pottering about. I'll be heading off with my dad in a little while to walk Murf's which is always a delight and the only exercise I get during my stay here.

 Happily filling up my sketchbook while away and ignoring any client work, sometimes you just need a bit of a break.
